Espolon Tequila Reposado is crafted at Destiladora San Nicola in the renowned hills of Los Altos, Jalisco, where blue agave plants flourish like nowhere else. The piñas, or hearts, of the agave are slowly cooked in an autoclave, crushed to extract sugars, and left to ferment, transforming into alcohol. It undergoes aging in slightly charred American oak barrels for 3 to 5 months, resulting in a golden hue. The nose is richly spiced with caramel notes, and on the palate, it’s round and slightly bold with hints of grilled agave and tropical fruits, leading to a long, spicy finish. Perfect for crafting spicy and flavorful cocktails, such as the Mexican Mule.
