Cabaret Mademoiselle needs no introduction, nor does its fabulous Mademoiselle Boop, a drag icon in the Brussels scene. A multidisciplinary haven, Cabaret Mademoiselle seamlessly merges burlesque, the 1930s, circus, freak shows, drag queens, and stand-up comedy. It’s a genre-blending spectacle, celebrating popular entertainment in a cozy and electrifying ambiance.
Nestled in the heart of Brussels, just steps away from the Grand-Place, Cabaret Mademoiselle is a nocturnal haven like no other. Since 2017, this burlesque cabaret has become a fixture in Brussels’ nightlife, championing the extravagant drag culture. “Drag culture involves performances where artists play with gender expression. We have Drag Queens—men adopting feminine traits—Drag Kings—women taking on masculine traits—or Drag Queers—artists blurring all gender boundaries,” explains Mademoiselle Boop, co-founder and iconic artist of the cabaret.
