Jenia Gatash is a queer feminist Ukrainian DJ, music producer,
audiovisual artist, and art director of performative
projects and various events, currently based in Marseille.
In 2018, Jenia discovered Ableton and synthesizers and began
exploring music production in theatrical laboratories, collaborating
with instrumentalists and vocal artists. Thanks to her work, she was
quickly invited to perform at experimental music festivals.
In 2020, Jenia became a resident at Werk, the main music venue in
Tatarstan.
In 2021, in Kazan, she launched the « Q » (Queer Paradise) parties,
the first openly queer events in Tatarstan, and she continues to
develop this project in Europe to create an inclusive and anti-
discrimination artistic space.
Since moving to France in 2022, Jenia’s career took on new momen-
tum with her performance at the Power Flower festival, organized
by Panda Events in Nice. During the Rainbow Day & Nights event
at the Festival d’Avignon, she performed in front of an audience of
over 2,000 people.
She is active between Paris, Nice, Marseille, Montpellier, Lyon, and
Berlin. Alongside her performances, she pursues studies at the
Marseille Conservatory in the Musical Formation
Jenia has shared the stage with Sara Zinger, Ishome (Shadowax),
Nesa Azadakan, PTU, Inturist, JC Laurant, Ahm Red, Aerae, Don Turi,
as well as artists from the collectives Go Gouine, Sœurs Malsaines,
Discordance, HOLE, and Dreamachine.
